Empowering Women to Step into Work with Confidence
Wellsprings for Women’s Employment Support Program is designed to support women from refugee and migrant backgrounds as they navigate and enter the Australian workforce. We understand that the journey toward employment can be complex—especially for women facing language barriers, cultural transitions, or gaps in local work experience. Our program helps bridge that gap with tailored support, skills development, and mentorship that puts women in control of their futures.
The program is delivered through two interconnected streams:
1. Employment Readiness Pathway
A series of engaging workshops and group sessions that guide participants through every stage of job preparation. Participants will learn about:
Understanding the Australian job market
Resume and cover letter writing
Interview techniques and employer expectations
Workers’ rights and workplace culture
Job search strategies and digital job platforms
These sessions are delivered in a safe, inclusive environment by facilitators who understand the specific challenges faced by newly arrived women.
2. Mentorship & Industry Support Stream
Women are matched with a mentor from the business or professional sector who provides one-on-one guidance, motivation and industry insights. Mentors help build professional networks and encourage skill development while Wellsprings provides wraparound support such as:
Confidence and communication building
Access to workplace training or volunteer pathways
This stream is designed to not only improve job-readiness but also foster real-world connections between participants and supportive industry allies.
Together, these two streams ensure that every woman feels informed, supported and empowered as she steps toward meaningful employment.
